 We made a last minute decision to take Granny to see Hamilton in Cleveland. How lucky we were to be able to get fabulous seats.  The show was absolutely amazing and although I may have been a teeny bit skeptical it completely lived up to the hype. All three of us LOVED it!

We had dinner at Puente Viejo beforehand. A hip little Mexican restaurant right by playhouse square. So delicious!

Our seats, were way better than I expected, I thought we were at the far back of the theater!

Also, I consider this part of Rachel's education. They don't teach American history at her international school in Germany. At least it's something...

BGSU Visit

Bowling Green has the CUTEST tour guides! On our college touring we stopped by BGSU to visit our two favorite students there and take Stefanie's tour. She is the best tour guide we have had and we've have visited a fair number of schools over the last five years.

Bowling Green has a beautiful campus and Stefanie certainly makes you want to attend. Unfortunately, no engineering majors here so it won't make Rachel's list.

Granny came with us on this tour too, and she thought her college visits were long over!

50 Already?

I'm not FIFTY yet. In fact I still have five months and four days to go. But my brother and sister decided since they wouldn't be with me on my birthday we needed to celebrate now. Aren't they fun(ny)? I was definitely surprised! And really, who doesn't love birthday cake?

Cleveland Zoo's Asian Lantern Festival

The Cleveland Zoo had an Asian Lantern Festival this summer. The lanterns were beautiful and colorful and we all enjoyed exploring the zoo grounds to see the different exhibits. We were a little disappointed that most of the animals were retired for the night but we still saw elephants, giraffes and tigers.

Ohio State Visit!

One last round of college visits for the youngest DelRosso. She is thinking BIG schools so we of course visited the BEST one - THE Ohio State University. She of course loved the campus - who wouldn't? Time will tell if she becomes a Buckeye.

We found the brick my college girlfriends and I donated when they remodeled the stadium.

And of course we met up with some of those college girlfriends at Graeters for delicious ice cream! So fun to spend the evening with them!

Happy Birthday Granny!

 Happy Birthday to our favorite mom and granny. For fun we put exactly the right number of candles on the cake. Plus one to grow on. What was even more fun? Granny blew them all out in one breath!

We had a great day together at Cedar Point celebrating!

Another summer must on our list is Miss Molly's Tea Room. We have been going here with Granny since the girls were little. Somehow my brother's wife had never been here so we righted that situation this summer. We're happy to say we have a convert, Aunt Abby loved Miss Molly's!

We've headed to Ohio to visit Granny and celebrate her birthday! And the Indians are in town. We had an awesome day in Cleveland!

We started with lunch at Buffalo Wild Wings so we could watch the World Cup Soccer Final before the baseball game!

 It was a great game with an exciting 8th inning to put away the win. Plus it was a beautiful day!

 Granny really wanted a photo with all of her grandchildren. She got it, some were just happier than one.

Then the kids ran the bases. How fun that you can do this after some games! AJ did it once before when he and I were at a game. What a great way to end a fabulous day!

Americana Fireworks

We have heard about how incredible the fireworks at Americana are for years! Americana is our favorite winery on Cayuga Lake and home to my most favorite summertime white wine, Crystal Lake.  This year we were finally able to check the fireworks out for ourselves.  Thanks to our awesome friends Lisa and Jon who spend the day at the festival there beforehand we didn't have to go early, they saved us a spot!

 We were in the FRONT row, so close that we all had ash on us when the fireworks were finished. But the rumors were true, they are spectacular!!

Ithaca Beer & Purity

Before AJ and Stefanie head back to Ohio and summer jobs it was important to check two more traditions off our list. We always get ice cream at Purity, it is delicious and worth all the calories!

We also like to have lunch at Ithaca Beer and for these past two years our newly minted 21 year old gets to do a beer flight. This year it was AJ's turn. Ithaca Beer is a great local brewery and as a bonus they also have really yummy food.

S'mores!

The kids taught one of their little cousins all about s'mores tonight.  When Mommy's away and Mimi is in charge good things happen!! They had so much fun roasting marshmallows and enjoying the sticky treats!

DelRosso 4th of July!

Only missing three...

For many years we have traditionally spent the 4th of July at Steve's mom's house on Cayuga Lake.

 The kids love being able to reconnect with Steve's whole family, relax by the water and of course compete in our annual Washer's Tournament. Which by the way I won with our nephew Mark this year!  He totally carried me but whatever!

Our kids really enjoy being together, and it is such a reward to me to see that in practice.

 The cousins even went wine tasting for an afternoon. We heard they had a good time! The adults also went wine tasting,we however failed to take a photo!

And we always try to eat at The Pines at least once. If you ever visit Ithaca, a pinesburger is a must do! We even got Grandma there this year!
